New Life Church is a community of Kingdom people, called from the nations of the World, to live as radical Jesus followers, in various locations and congregations across the Crouch Valley region of Essex.
New Life Church is built on the following absolutes:
- Every human is fallen and needs a Saviour.
- Jesus Christ is that Saviour.
- Salvation is fo und in no one else.
- The Bible is God’s written word and provides direction, hope and challenge in today’s world.
- God is totally expressed in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
- Every human has been created by God with a destiny and purpose.
Around these absolutes New Life Church is built and community life is expressed in the following values:
- Everything that we do is unto God – no sacred secular divide.
- Being a Christian is a 24/7 experience of each week.
- See everyone as more important than you.
- Disciples (followers) of Jesus, not converts to Christianity.
- Christ-like character over charisma.
- Christian living is a journey not a destination.
- Every person is fearfully and wonderfully made.
- Every member of New Life Church has a positive contribution to make in society and to the church community.
- Relationships within the church community must be open, honest and accountable.
- Laughter, joy, pain and challenge are important facets of church community life.
- Unity does not mean that we agree about everything but that we will not gossip, snipe or put down another.
- Wilful submission to each other and to the vision and values of New Life Church.
- Every member is willing to get their hands dirty and serve others i.e. there are no superstars.
- All people groups are welcome to join the church community.
- Gifting is not decided by gender but by anointing and God’s call
